Boondocks の第1話では「ニガー」の語を 15回も使ったそうだ。 作者の Aaron McGruder は新聞コミックでもこの語を使ってきたし, 今後もどんどん使うと言っている。 これに対してさっそくこの語の使用をやめさせようとする運動もおきているようだが, こうなることくらいはとうぜん予想した上で使っているのだろうから, かんたんには使用をやめないだろう。
しかし, シリーズがはじまったとたんにこういうニュースがでてくるのは, やっぱりブーンドックスは注目されてるんだなあ。 「マイノリティーム」に関するニュースはぜんぜんなし :-)

マイノリティームは絵柄が安物コミックそのものなのですが, いちおう変身もするし空を飛べる人もいるし, よく考えると意外にちゃんとスーパーヒーローしているのではないかとおもいました。

少女キャラはまだあんまりでてませんが, 主人公のヒューイとライリーも原作よりかわいくなってますね(やってることを別にすれば)。
アダルトスイムの絵柄は昔からヒドイのが多いので, ブーンドックスがまともだったのがかえって新鮮でした。
